Warranty, Returns, and Refunds Policy

At Universal Retail Systems, we are dedicated to ensuring your complete satisfaction with our Point of Sale (POS) products. Please review our comprehensive policy covering warranties, returns, and refunds below.

    1. Warranty Coverage
      • Duration: All products come with a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase.
      • Scope: This warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
      • Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, abuse, negligence, unauthorized modifications, normal wear and tear, or improper installation and maintenance. Consumable parts such as batteries are also excluded unless product damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
    2. Eligibility for Refunds To be eligible for a refund, the following conditions must be met:
      • The product must be returned within 30 days of the purchase date.
      • The product must be in its original condition, including all accessories, manuals, and packaging.
      • Proof of purchase must be provided (e.g., order confirmation, receipt).
      • The product must not be damaged due to misuse or negligence.
    3. Non-Refundable Items Certain items are non-refundable, including:
      • Software products that have been downloaded or activated.
      • Customized or personalized products.
      • Clearance or final sale items.
      • Products damaged by misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance.
    4. Refund Process To initiate a refund, please follow these steps:
      • Contact Us: Reach out to our customer service team at support@urspos.com or call (805) 483-9137 to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
      • Return the Product: Once you have received your RMA number, securely package the product, including all accessories, manuals, and original packaging. Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the package. Ship the package to the address provided by our customer service team.
      • Inspection and Approval: Upon receipt of the returned product, our team will inspect it to ensure it meets the eligibility criteria. If approved, we will process your refund within 10 business days.
    5. Refund Method Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during the purchase. Depending on your payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to reflect in your account.
    6. Shipping Costs
      • Original Shipping Costs: Shipping costs paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable.
      • Return Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for paying return shipping costs unless the product was defective or incorrect due to our error.
    7. Exchanges If you received a defective or incorrect product, please contact our customer service team at (805) 483-9137 within 30 days of receipt. We will arrange for a replacement product to be sent to you at no additional cost.
    8. Restocking Fee A restocking fee of 20% may apply to certain returned items. This fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
    9. Claim Process for Warranty To make a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
      • Contact Us: Reach out to our customer service team at support@urspos.com or call (805) 483-9137 to describe the issue and request an RMA number.
      • Return the Product: Securely package the product, including all accessories, manuals, and original packaging. Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the package. Ship the package to the address provided by our customer service team.
      • Inspection and Approval: Upon receipt of the returned product, our team will inspect it to verify the defect. If the product is found to be defective and covered under warranty, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost. If the product is not covered under warranty, we will inform you and provide options for repair or replacement at your expense.
    10. Limitation of Liability Universal Retail Systems' liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products.
